Concord, MA -- September 22, 1997 -- Belarc, Inc. and Dr. Jacob ("Jack") E. Goldman are pleased to announce that Dr. Goldman is joining the Board of Directors and acting as a consultant to the management of Belarc, an innovator and leader in web commerce tools which deliver personalized content for web site visitors. He is especially known as the creator and senior executive manager of Xerox PARC, where the first laser printers, personal computers, graphic user interfaces and Ethernet LANs all had their origins.

"The Internet has yet to define the proper milieu for commercialization", said Dr. Goldman. "The history of the evolution of modern information technology has taught us that companies like Belarc will be the ones that pioneer new ground and innovate ways for the public to exploit the new medium."

"We are both extremely pleased to have Jack as an advisor and member of our board of directors", said Gary Newman, President and Sumin Tchen, Chairman of Belarc. We are beginning to see a bright future for Belarc, and someone with Jack’s experience will be invaluable to us in helping to make the right decisions. We think that every technology driven company needs someone who is not involved in the day-to-day activities, to ask the right questions."
